And...here we go!

1. My car is back on the road thanks to my talented hubby.

2. Hopefully, adoption is coming up next.

3. Lately, things seem to be directing me to be even more family focused than I already naturally am.

4. The small patio on the back porch of my mother's house is one of my favorite 'hiding' places. I helped her build that patio many years ago and have found many hours of solace sitting back there quietly reading a good book.

5. What happened to ladies wearing dresses when they go to important places?

6. Finding peace and contentment each day is not impossible!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to brining a cornish hen and 'cuing it up, tomorrow my plans include a massage and Sunday, I want to go for a really long hike, maybe up at one of the beautiful mountain lakes in the Eastern Sierras.

1. My daughter (aka Demon #1) informed me the other day that her hugs were worth a million dollars. Would you give up hugs - giving and receiving - for the rest of your life, for a million dollars? No way, I couldn't live without hugs, but I've been living just fine without the million dollars all these years.

2.Have you ever been bitten by a member of the canine family? Unfortunately, yes, and it caused me to develop a fear of strange dogs. My husband has worked with me to try to cure this fear, and it's getting better, but it is still a real inconvenience sometimes.

3. What is your favorite color of jeans? Whatever color my hubby is wearing ;)

4. What is something that has changed in public schools that you wish was the norm when you were in school? No corporal punishment (it only happened to me once, but it sure was humiliating.)

5. What is your news source? The internet, I read the news from various newspaper sites.

6. What sort of people do you think read your blog? Smart ones, of course.

7. If I told you that I had a headache, you would say..........??? I'm so sorry, do you want a Tylenol?

8. You go to a buffet style restaurant, what is the first food you put on your plate? Vegetables!! Yum!

9. If you were stranded on a desert island.... no, we aren't asking that again. Lets put a twist into this. Would you volunteer to be dropped off on a desert island, to be picked up in a month? And you don't get to bring those 3 items, either. I don't think I would, although solititude can be a life changing experience. My hubby and I spent 27 days on a 30' sailboat, crossing the Pacific. Just the two of us, without other human contact for almost a month. It really changes your outlook on life and other people.

10. When the sun sets, what are you usually doing? Just like most other women, I'm cleaning up dinner, doing the dishes and straightening the kitchen. (and listening to whatever the family is doing at the time)

2. You can quit looking for me; I'm over here!

3. The possibilities include: anything we can invision. We only have to MAKE it happen.

4. Home made potato soup is one of my favorite cool day recipes.

5. How will you know when your dreams have come true if you're too busy searching to see them?

6. Some of my favorite things are a cozy fire and a stormy sky.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to having a cozy evening with my hubby, tomorrow my plans include shampooing carpets and helping my hubby replace the radiator in our poor little broken Miata and Sunday, I want to do something/anything outside!

1. I feel well rested, contented and ready to face a terrific Friday.

2. Hanging out with my hubby is always fun.

3. Right now, I can hear these things: my boss and a co-worker gabbing and laughing in the office, another co-worker typing on her keyboard, the buzz of the fluorescent light above my desk, the incessasnt ringing in my ears.

4. I've been really good on my diet this week and I'm glad to say that I've lost weight again.

5. The last time I got a mani-pedi was last night, and I loved it!

6. I hope everyone has a safe and fun time this Labor day weekend.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to packing my suitcase, tomorrow my plans include flying to LA for a big family BBQ and Sunday, I want to go surfing at Rat Beach.
